COVID-19 has had a huge impact on our community, in ways we could never have imagined, but we are finding ways to overcome it and live with this global pandemic.

Last year during the Christmas of 2019, KE-ZU conducted a food drive with neighbouring businesses and local clients, receiving food donations from 16 companies, which helped us create and donate over 50 boxes to OzHarvests’s Christmas Appeal.

This year, the impact of COVID has seen a new cohort of people in need. People who had not gone hungry before – amongst those are casual workers and international students, turning to food relief for the first time. Since the beginning of March and in response to the dramatic rise in demand for food relief, OzHarvest has diverted more than 6.3 million kilos of food from landfill through their food rescue operations, equating to more than 22.1 million meals delivered to the charities they regularly support.

Although this year we have been unable to facilitate the production of hampers, KE-ZU is proud to still be giving back to the community during these times. We have made a significant donation enabling OzHarvest to deliver over 10,000 meals!

We hope these donations are going to make the holidays season a little easier for those in need and encourage you to also donate to OzHarvest’s today .
