Product Stewardship Programme
KE-ZU is committed to a product stewardship approach that supports a circular economy, focusing on extending product life through re-use, repair and responsible recovery.
Scope and Responsibility
Product stewardship is a shared responsibility between KE-ZU, its distribution partners and clients. All stewardship enquiries and return requests must be initiated through the original distributor or point of purchase, who will coordinate assessment and next steps with KE-ZU where required.
Assessments and Outcomes
Products are assessed on a case-by-case basis to determine the most appropriate outcome, prioritised as follows:
- 01 Re-use or redeployment within existing or alternative projects
- 02 Repair or refurbishment to extend service life
- 03 Component recovery and recycling through approved resource recovery networks
Recycling is undertaken only where re-use or refurbishment is not feasible, and disposal to landfill is avoided wherever feasible.
Costs and Arrangements
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- Transport, handling and associated logistics remain the responsibility of the client or distributor
- KE-ZU does not assume responsibility for collection or freight arrangements
- Any return or recovery pathway is subject to prior approval and coordination
Environmental Responsibility
KE-ZU Pty Ltd ensures that all GECA-certified furniture returned at end of life will be recycled through relevant resource recovery networks and will not be sent to landfill or incineration.
KE-ZU is committed to ensuring that suitable products, including GECA-certified furniture, are processed through appropriate recovery channels and diverted from landfill wherever reasonably achievable.
