KEZU's Guide to Orgatec 2016


Orgatec is the leading international trade fair for modern work environments. As modern offices promote the interaction of working environment, work processes and work culture, this year’s theme “Creativity Works” takes a holistic view of how design can contribute to fostering creativity and productivity.

Orgatec will take place in Cologne, Germany from 25 to 29 October 2016, and will feature more than 650 exhibitors presenting the most innovative and inspiring concepts and solutions for office design and furniture. Eight KE-ZU brands will be showcasing their latest collections of office and so we have compiled this special guide to Orgatec 2016 to help you navigate the fairs highlights:

Andreu World

Andreu World is known for its reinterpretation of traditional furniture forms and this year the Spanish brand is presenting its new designs and products for changing, versatile and flexible workspaces and offices. This will include ergonomic chairs and seats, technological tables for meeting rooms and workspaces, and the use of ultra-durable materials. Andreu World will also be featured in the “Architects Corner” where chairs, lounges areas and occasional tables offer connectivity for various devices and multimedia access.

axona AICHI deals in high-end and environmentally sustainable contract furniture. Many of its solutions, such as stacking chairs and flip-top tables, cater specifically for education and gathering spaces; and having won the prestigious Japanese Good Design Award an impressive 135 times, axona AICHI is sure to deliver.

ENEA will be presenting different soft office solutions for workspaces in public and educational environments. These concepts have been developed in collaboration with Lievore Altherr Molina and Josep Lluscà to meet the primary objectives of being versatile, comfortable and adaptable. The Lottus and Ema chairs designed by Lievore Altherr Molina will be on display, as well as the Puck, Caddy and Coma Wood furniture presented in environments that replicate a classroom, meeting room, space for reflection, bar area and office, plus more.

EMU has given us a glimpse of its Orgatec stand with an abstract image of the Terramare collection by Studio Chiaramonte-Marin. The Terramare collection comprises a set of sofas and armchairs crafted in aluminum tubing with arms and backrest in synthetic leather, and we’re excited to see what else is to come.

Collaborating with some of Spain’s best and brightest designers, Expormim is a world-respected manufacturer of rattan furniture, taking advantage of the material’s lightweight, flexible and sustainable qualities. Expormim’s commitment to traditional artisanal techniques and innovative production methods will be on show in Huma – the rattan chair with upholstered seat and backrest composed of flexible ribs for greater comfort.

Sancal is one of Spain’s leading manufacturers of contemporary furniture with an ever-evolving and eclectic collection of furniture that offers superior quality, unconventional forms and attention to detail. Sancal debuted a stand-out series of seating and table solutions at this year’s Milan Furniture Fair, so if that’s anything to go by, we’re in for a showstopper at Orgatec too.

Within the span of one decade, Spanish company Vondom has grown to become an industry leader in furniture and lighting having unveiled more than ten collections by high-profile designers. At Milan this year, Vondom presented a range of seating solutions with an emphasis on strong lines and clean form, and we anticipate Orgatec will not dissapoint.

Lande is a division of Dutch-brand Artifort, and it is renowned for flexible, efficient and high-quality office furniture with a personal touch. It will be presenting its innovative solutions, such as TRIGON and PETRAM, revolutionary modular systems that optimise space and functionality.
