It seems this savvy artist sees things differently to many of us.
Blurring the line between photography and illustration, the talented and all-seeing Alana Dee Haynes isn’t content with simply flicking through magazines anymore and has taken to fashion portraiture, adding her two-cents with overlays of illustration pattern to photographs she finds.
The result delves into the possibilities of the unseen. The expressive graphics she applies to the photographs venture into the imaginative, they show inspired tattoo work, materialize emotion, mimic vascular and muscular systems and add a new dimension of fashion pattern. Simultaneously, Haynes' work exposes a heavy element of humanity.
We think Haynes’ work is a beautiful move away from vocal commentary and simply, quite beautiful – don’t you?
