We were incredibly saddened to hear of the passing of industrial design genius Charles Pollock on Tuesday.  Pollock is perhaps best known for redefining the landscape of the office chair by developing new concepts and production methods, most notably his patented invention of rim technology and simplicity of assembly with the Pollock Chair n 1963.  The Pollock Chair is one of the best-selling office chairs in history and is an instantly recognizable as a visual symbol of the modern workplace and idolised as a design classic. Becoming closer to our hearts most recently, Pollock returned to design after a hiatus of some 30 years to design the CP Chairs for KE-ZU supplier Bernhardt Design.  The CP Chair embodies the mantra that Pollock is known for, continuous streamlined lines, aesthetically pleasing, functional, technologically advanced with a high focus on precision manufacturing.  The CP Chair sits very much adored in the KE-ZU showroom and now becomes an ongoing symbol of Pollock’s greatness. Our thoughts are with his friends and family. Mr Charles Pollock’s legacy will no doubt continue through his amazing body of work.  May he rest in peace.
