LZF launched more than 25 exciting new lamps this year. Each one continues to exceed our expectations, but Big Bird, Thesis and Black Note are three of our favourites.

Thesis

Thesis is a modern table, floor and wall lamp that’s well suited to quiet, private and cosy spaces. Designed by Ramón Esteve, Thesis lamp has an invisible light source that emits a warm glow as you read, work or toil through the night. The design of Thesis appears simple on the surface: a wood veneer shade on a tripod base or wall arm. But less visible to the eye are the three prongs that clasp the shade, each containing an LED that diffuses downward light and quietly highlights the timber veneer.

Black Note

Black Note has wood veneer shades that rise and fall in rhythmic arrangement. Inspired by the black keys on piano, Black Note has three different compositions – Black Note Keys, Black Note Triplet and Black Note Duplet. Each has curved wood veneer shades arranged in perfect harmony on a metallic frame, finished in black and anthracite tones.

Big Bird

Forget what you know about Big Bird from Sesame Street. This Big Bird is the newest member of LZF’s Life Size family, joining the happy adventures of Elephant, Fish and Koi. Created by the illustrator and designer Isidro Ferrer, Big Bird hovers vertically with fluttering wings and has the agile appearance of a delicate hummingbird. The lamp is built with timber veneer rods, using a traditional craft technique called vareta. Light radiates from within the wooden plumage, and a wood veneer globe is suspended from its beak.
