The ECCI (The Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation) has taken up residence in an 18th Century heritage listed building in Edinburgh. The premises saw a complete refurbishment of what was the Edinburgh University High School Yards building and KE-ZU supplier Chorus Furniture was right there with them, assisting The ECCI to deliver an outstanding residence for the green machine. The new fit out by Malcolm Fraser Architects delivered a refurb that has achieved the world's first BREEAM "outstanding" status. BREEAM is a UK based environmental assessment method and rating system for buildings which looks closely at energy and water use, the internal environment (health and well-being), pollution, transport, materials, waste, ecology and management processes. The Chorus Furniture's Theo collection was chosen to populate the new interior of The ECCI. Delivering 300 Theo chairs, tables and benches, all in oak with the seating upholstered in Bute fabrics.
