About the ProductBecause, if anything, “Grada” are extremely playful: they play with the size, the shape and the height, but also with the perspective. “Grada” are born, once again, as a result of the collaboration with the Barcelona-based studio Lievore Altherr Molina, which began last year when the classic “Lapala” seating collection was reedited. This set of coffee tables work either separately or together as it is possible to create multiple compositions through the gradation of different elements. Thanks to their versatility they help articulate the space in a more casual way thus becoming the perfect accessory for relaxing environments. Top quality marble tabletops rest upon a solid frame, made of welding and painted stainless steel, making the whole collection of side tables perfectly suitable for outdoors, but without excluding the possibility to be placed indoors. One of their distinctive features is their voluminous demi bull-nose bevel evoking old antiques dealer tables. When seen from above, tabletops completely hide the legs as if they were hovering over the ground. It is this ludic capacity what mellows the seriousness of their geometrical design and the gravity of a lordly material such as marble.
The BrandMore about this Brand
La Exportadora del Mimbre was founded by lawyer Miguel Laso Tortosa in 1960 to export wicker products. Tortosa had identified a gap in the European market for products made from natural materials. He brought in the wicker from the nearby region of Cuenca and it was handcrafted into baskets, folding screens, cradles and toys. A few years later, armchairs and loungechairs were added to the company’s range.
