Specimen Editions’ design philosophy comes from the great Jean Cocteau, "To be tactfully daring means knowing how to push the limits without going too far." Founded in 2009 by Alaric Miaume, Tristan Pannier and Etienne De Crouy, this top-tier Parisian studio dared to combine both a gallery and contemporary, handcrafted furniture store under the one roof. Working with design darlings like Nendo and Constance Guisset, Specimen Editions aims to make design affordable thanks to unlimited productions and one-of-a-kind gallery pieces. A case is point is the stunning cement-wood pendant lamps created by Decha Archjananun (the award winning founder of the Thai Thinkk Studios). Recently named young designer of the year by Thai Elle Deco, Archjananun’s lamps expertly blend the warm radiance of natural ash wood against the rugged charm of concrete.
