Located in the north of Spain, SELLEX S.A. was founded in 1977 with the aim to produce and distribute well designed products for the home market at prices which a wide segment of consumers could afford. Initial production was based on the Swedish collection INNOVATOR, designed by Johan Huldt. Production was then increased rapidly as Sellex incorporated their own creation of products in close collaboration with well know Spanish designers, and with the distribution of important international firms, like NELO, FRITZ HANSEN, DRIADE. In the nineties, SELLEX has firmly pushed forward with own production which currently means 90% of the turnover. SELLEX's permanent concern about design has found its way in the close and continous collaboration with high qualified Spanish designers, like LLUSCA, BERNAL/ISERN, M.A.CIGANDA, A.LIEVORE,..., as well as in its participation in the creation of SIDI group. In 1987, SELLEX instigated the first National Design Competition sponsored by a private company in the furniture sector with an International jury. SELLEX products are now sold in 30 different countries around the world.
