HALO is a collection of lights designed by Kenneth Cobonpue for suspension and floor use. Hand woven translucent nylon strings on a light frame of wire give a soft, heavenly glow when lit.
This disc model uses the HALO shade horizontally atop a sleek tripod base with a soft diffuser to disperse the light at eye level.
The weaving skills used are old fashioned and labour intensive, ensuring a high quality result as well as an interesting juxtaposition of old skills in a contemporary design.
The HALO has become an iconic luminaire and can be seen in the Sam Satay installation, Sydney Rowing Club and Castle Hill RSL as well as numerous residential and commercial developments.
