KE-ZU is committed to the practice and support of responsible environmental policies and practices in all that we do. We conserve, reuse and recycle daily. We have a take back policy where we will repair/refurbish product where practical and re-sell on our CLEARANCE website or donate to charity for re-use. Alternatively, we will disassemble most furniture to individual components for recycling. We recognize that every product we sell has some impact on the environment as part of its lifecycle; in the way it is grown, transported, used or disposed of, or in the way it is manufactured.. We do this through KE-ZU sharing its own environment and sustainability policy with its suppliers and we encourage them to implement sound environmental management practices with their own supplier’s. We need our supplier’s to meet environmental specifications restricting the use of hazardous and environmentally sensitive materials and this impacts which companies products we will represent to our customers. Whilst our Goal is to influence all our suppliers to reduce their direct environmental impacts and improve the environmental quality of their products through more sustainable sourcing, a number of our suppliers have been leaders in their own countries for many years. As a supplier of high quality furniture, we understand the obligation we owe Nature for our success. We acknowledge this debt by striving to be environmentally sensitive in all that we do.
The majority of our products have European, Japanese or North American environmental credentials. These include FSC certification, ISO14000, Greenguard, etc However, due to local requirements, KE-ZU is currently in the process of seeking the GECA [Good Environmental Choice Australia] approval for the Australian Eco Label program on products comprising 75% of our turnover.
