About the ProductInspired by Himmeli, the traditional geometric mobiles made from rye straw which bring good fortune and decorate houses in Slavic and some Scandinavian countries at Christmas; the Ukrainian designer Kateryna Sokolova has created a whole new range of lighting for Forestier "Talisman" Its delicate gilt structure encases tiny diamond lights, and the architectural design of this new collection of pendants brings a touch of jewellery to your home, a sparkling ornament to hang up as you would a talisman. Talisman is available in four styles, Himmeli, Pavuk, Pajak and Puzurs, four lights to hang together as a large, airy cluster or as a single, ultra-fine pendant. Forestier has a long tradition of commissioning art objects crafted from wire and this new collection reflects its commitment to creating objects of poetry, objects which combine traditional expertise and modern technology, handcrafted but reasonably priced. Jean-Dominique Leze, at the helm of Forestier since 2012, is a past master of this elegant alchemy, all the while maintaining a deep sense of the ethical and the environmental.
The BrandMore about this Brand
It was 1992 when eccentric Frenchman Bernard Forestier found himself taken by the formal gardens he discovered while traipsing the cobbled streets of Paris. So taken was Forestier by the gardens, particularly the balance and the elegant combination of alternating straight lines and curves that it became the source of inspiration for his designs.
